Qualifications:
Degree / National Diploma relevant to Strategic Planning / Economic Development or a relevant 3 year tertiary
qualification with specialisation in
- Public Administration / Performance Management or Project Management.
Computer literacy:
MS Office
Experience: - 8 years' relevant experience required.
Requirements:
Code B driver's Licence Proficiency in at least two (2) of the official languages of the Western Cape (Afrikaans/English/Xhosa
- Speak, Read and Write) Human relations, interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to give attention to detail High level of responsibility - Ability to work under pressure Ability to deal with conflict situations Good knowledge of legislation affecting local government.

Key Performance Areas:
Identifies, defines and implements the immediate, short and long term managerial objectives and plans years)

contractual obligations in respect of the relevant areas of responsibility Initiates the compilation of new policies and / or changes to existing
policies Implements procedures, systems and controls to regulate specific work Management and reporting processes and information
dissemination Manages, co-ordinates and controls key dimensions and requirements associated with occupational health and safety Manages,
co-ordinates and controls specific processes associated with the implementation, monitoring and communication phases of projects Manage the
implementation of the LED projects to ensure its compliance with the aims and objectives of the IDP Co-ordinate the implementation of the LED
strategies and programmes to ensure that the objectives are met and that the optimum utilization of available resources are achieved Assisting
with the IDP development and review process Co-ordinate and engage with all relevant stakeholders to ensure public participation Manages the
implementation of strategies, policies and programmes to promote sustainable social development structures Manage the implementation of the
Informal Trading Sector to ensure its compliance with the aims and objectives of the IDP Manage and participate in external community
development programmes as approved by the municipality
- Any other related duty as requested by the supervisor.
The competency level for this position is a level 3 as stipulates in Annexure A of the Municipal Staff Regulations Government Notice R890 as
promulgated in Government Gazette 45181 dated 20 September 2021 and comprises of the following competencies:
