Experience and Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Warehousing / Logistics / Supply Chain / Procurement or related fields (NQF 5).
  • Up to 5 years experience in Warehousing / Inventory and Stock Control / Logistics / Supply Chain / Procurement in a Manufacturing environment of which: 1 to 2 years should be at Supervisory level.
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite and SAP, ERP Systems and other job-specific software systems).
  • Knowledge of relevant Stores / Warehousing / Logistics and Planning Processes and Practices.
Duties:
  • Oversees and ensures successful weekly stock cycle count.
  • Ensure monthly stock take with production and support department teams.
  • Ensures FIFO / LOS (line of site) principles are applied during storage and issuing of stock within area of responsibility.
  • Investigates stock variances and exceptions and implement an action plan.
  • Ensures procedures related to stock control are continuously reviewed for efficiency improvement and risk minimization.
  • Liaises with and supports Planning in verifying receipts and issued goods, semi-finished components, and products.
  • Ensures accurate coding and storage of received products following procedures.
  • Handles non-conforming products as per procedures and ensures timely scrap removal.
  • Controls damaged stock in WIP, investigates causes, and takes corrective actions.
  • Adheres to consignment stock procedures during collection.
  • Creates and maintains work instructions.
  • Stays updated on evolving technologies in Inventory Control.
  • Maintains database integrity on SAP system consistently.
  • Processes credit notes, maintains records, and obtains approvals.
  • Captures returned rotations in the system and record changes.
  • Updates and manages spreadsheet for checks and charges.
  • Manages scrap differences on spreadsheet.
  • Timely ordering of stationary and protective clothing and gear.
  • Completes daily, weekly, and monthly health and safety checks and reports accidents to HR.
  • Operates within controls and procedures for company integrity.
  • Identifies and reports risks to management and ensures compliance with regulations.
  • Ensures adherence to health and safety regulations in the warehouse.
  • Maintains strong customer relationships and represents the company in stakeholder meetings.
  • Creatively solves problems with integrity, aligned with company values.
  • Ensures staff have signed performance agreements, conducts quarterly employee appraisals.
  • Collaborates with HR on staff performance objectives and development plans.
  • Provides continuous training and development for employees.
  • Addresses employee relations matters fairly and promptly.
  • Contributes to budget preparation and explores cost control opportunities.
  • Promotes efficient and transparent resource utilization.
  • Monitors and controls expenditure against budget, reports deviations.
