Duties & Responsibilities

Description of the job

  • Checking, evaluating and operating all assigned components and systems via the control system at the workstation.
  • Performing immediate measures and operational interventions required to maintain operation, in the event of malfunctions or to avert hazards.

  • Performing switching operations in accordance with instructions.
  • Recording existing system deficiencies, in particular deficiencies relating to occupational safety, health and fire protection, and reporting them to the person responsible for safety measures.
  • Assisting in the preparation of perception and result reports and in clarifying the causes of malfunctions and damage.
  • Operating and monitoring the operating systems of the unit operation area and processing and forwarding event reports.
  • Performing operational interventions, Preparation of plant components for release for maintenance and servicing measures, participation in the performance of functional tests and safety checks in accordance with instructions.
  • Keeping of records and notes on the operating sequence
  • Coordination with internal partners within the scope of tasks.

Other activities

  • Performing actions according to established specifications necessary to maintain operations or avert hazards.
  • Reporting deficiencies and abnormalities as they occur in accordance with operational responsibilities.
  • Carrying out work to eliminate operational faults in the respective plant area.
  • Carrying out tasks to clarify the causes of faults and damage in electrical and I&C systems in accordance with specified requirements.
  • Carrying out work during the decommissioning and commissioning of repaired or temporarily shut down plants.

Must have Skills

  • Experience in power plant operation is mandatory.
  • Successful completion of industrialtechnical vocational training and further training as a certified power plant operator (d/m/w) or comparable.
  • Confident handling of PCs
  • Knowledge and experience in handling process control systems (e.g. ABB Procontrol P with PBS30, ABB Symphony with 800xA) ABB Procontrol P with PBS30, ABB Symphony with 800xA).
  • Ability to work in a team and to communicate
- high sense of responsibility, as well as ability to work under pressure and flexibility
- confident and friendly appearance.

  • Willingness to work in shifts.
  • Necessary approvals in the plant complex can be acquired due to your professional experience.
  • Furthermore, you will benefit from your comprehensive knowledge and experience in the field of activity.
