Our client based in Cape Town, is a boutique Commodities Trading company. We are assisting them to hire their next superstar
Stock Control Specialist, preferably with experience in the mining/commodities sector.

The role will focus on managing the stock position of the company for metals and minerals originating in South Africa.

The company is entrepreneurial focused and growing rapidly.

Role Responsibilities

  • Managing the reporting of the overall stock position of the company
  • Daily reporting of all tons dispatched from various mines
  • Daily reporting of all tons received at various warehouses
  • Reporting of all tons shipped out by purchase contracts and sales contracts
  • Recon of loads that left the mines vs loads received at warehouses
  • Following up with transporters on missing loads and managing data
  • Allocation of transport invoices to purchase orders by truck or train
  • Additional ad hoc tasks

Who would be a great fit for this role:


  • 5-7 years experience in stock control in
    mineral commodities or manufacturing, (experience in the mining sector will be very advantageous)
  • You must be highly competent working with large volumes of data in E
    xcel:
  • You are highly competent on Microsoft Office
  • Excel, Outlook, Word, strong Excel skills are critical to the role
  • You are looking for an opportunity in a small fast paced global organization to gain exposure across all areas of our trading business
