Job Summary
We are looking for a competent Draughtsperson with 3 years experience on AUTOCAD and Revit within Mechanical Engineering field.

Qualifications

  • Grade 1
  • Post Matric Qualification
  • Experience in Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage.
  • Must have valid driver's license and willing to travel.
  • AUTOCAD
  • REVIT

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare architectural designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches and specifications.
  • Seamlessly integrating and working with Engineers and subcontractors, to produce and alter drawings.
  • Creating and continually updating project drawings, liaising with Engineers
  • Liaise with Architects to ensure drawings are coordinated.
  • Printing various formats of drawing sets for Engineers and Architects.
- "Systematically saving sketches and drawings on our CAD server; keeping the server organized; updating project.
- folders and files as jobs progress and revisions are made. "

  • Exhaustively reviewing and checking sketches and drawings for errors, before being sent to Engineers, Architects and subcontractors
  • Seeking clarity and understanding from engineers and Architects when you are not 100% certain of something to do with drawings.
  • Organizing and uploading drawings onto Server to share drawings with Engineers and Architects.
  • Create, edit, and update standard details for use in projects in accordance with any amendments or change in legislation.
  • Create 3dimensional BIM models for use by various departments and teams.
  • Efficiently operate computerassisted design and drafting workstations
  • Maintain current knowledge of SANS standards accordingly.
  • Ensure clients' needs are met in a timely and costeffective manner.
  • Ensure that you produce and maintain drawings of the highest / required quality with minimum errors.
  • Thinking creatively and critically to support the project team in the design process, to create sketches and drawings.

Software Models / Legislation

  • Maintain high level of proficiency, knowledge specializing in creating technical drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to design blueprints and generate models.
  • Maintain high level of proficiency, knowledge specializing in Building Information Modelling (BIM). to assist Engineers and Architects renovators in planning and constructing buildings more efficiently. To create and model large commercial, residential, and public use buildings.
  • Maintain high level of proficiency, knowledge and keep yourself up to date with changes in system and legislation.

Technical And Site Management

  • Ensure designs are drafted timeously.
  • Draft design manuals/technical standards for the department.
  • Review and approve drawings to be issued on assigned projects.
  • Review and approve design reports, valuation certificates, cost reports and status reports when required
  • Produce redesign modifications per modified brief from client on allocated projects
  • Adhere to design principles and protocols
