Purpose of the Job:

To manage and supervise operations in a cost-effective, safe environment in support of Engen objectives and optimisation of profit opportunities, in a safe and compliant manner

What you'll have done before:

Baseline:

  • NQF Level 6 (Diploma in Logistics/ Supply Chain/ Operations or relevant)
  • 3 years' experience in Plant Operations environment
  • Understanding of Operations & Stock L/G
  • Experience in HSEQ MS system
  • Knowledge of OSH Act, ISO 9002 & SABS

Advantageous:

  • Plant Supervisory experience
  • SAP knowledge and experience

  • Engagement with 3rd party contractors/ other oil companies
  • Engagement with the rest of the Supply Chain
  • Prompt and effective decisionmaking skills

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensure that receipt, storage and handling is done according to prescribed procedure and standards
  • Distribute products to customers as per agreed SLA's
  • Ensure maximum economical fleet utilization
  • Ensure effective management of assets through optimal utilisation and maintenance as required
  • Ensure that all quality standards and procedures are met as required to ensure compliance and governance
  • Manage team and ensure capability development and performance by means of identifying relevant training programs to close the skills gaps and through performance management processes
  • Ensure that safety standards are maintained in operational area by staff, contractrs and service providers
  • Contribute to investigations and audits
