Duties and responsibilities:
  • Extensive experience in the telecommunications industry including at least some supply side experience and exposure.
  • Commercial and business acumen and experience.
  • Industry-specific competency and expertise in telco site design, build and maintenance.
  • Business process experience, including budgeting, reporting and utilising ERP systems.
  • Familiarity and experience of using personal productivity software such as Microsoft Office, Google or similar.
  • Proven ability to work in a team context.
  • Customer orientation.
  • Develop and refine the product strategy in alignment
    with the company's overall goals and market trends. This involves understanding customer needs, competitive analysis, and technology trends in the telecommunications industry.
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the vision and direction for the company's product portfolio. This involves prioritising features and enhancements through acquisition, R&D and partnerships based on customer feedback, market research, and business objectives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment on product goals, timelines, and priorities. Collaborate with these teams to bring products to market efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to retirement. This includes product planning, development, launch, and ongoing support and maintenance.
  • Conduct market analysis and research to identify
    emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive threats. Use this information to inform product strategy and roadmap decisions.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within the organisation,
    gathering feedback and insights to improve products and drive customer satisfaction continuously.
  • Drive revenue and profitability growth through effective product management strategies. This involves setting pricing strategies, managing product margins, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of product initiatives. Continuously monitor and analyse product performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
  • Build and lead a high-performing product management team. Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members to foster their growth and success.
  • Ensure that products comply with relevant regulatory
    requirements and industry standards, especially in the telecommunications sector, where compliance is critical.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with vendors,
    suppliers, and technology partners to enhance the company's product offerings and capabilities.
  • Identify and mitigate product development, launch, and ongoing operations risks. This includes anticipating potential challenges and developing contingency plans to address them.
