  • Introduction of small CIP Projects in Pre-treatment, E-Coat process.
  • Issue process standards to Pre-Treatment and E-Coat Contractors.
  • Process time studies for Pre-Treatment and E-coat
  • Responsible for processing trial bodies for the new model.
  • Monitoring Pre-Treatment and E-Coat Contractors.
  • Routine checks for analysis done by Pre-Treatment and E-Coat Contractors in the laboratory.
  • Supporting the Health and Safety documents for suppliers.
  • Be part of the digitalisation and innovation /process boards
  • Able to steer projects.
  • Document all the quality improvement changes.
  • Drive continuous improvements and optimisation.
  • Supporting the work organisation.
  • Interface between technologies and suppliers
  • Support department cost saving strategies.
  • Support shop floor with the tools and techniques to support bottleneck identification and problem solving.
  • Support any relevant training.
  • Initiate a LOP list for tracking of cars, defects, and any process changes.
  • Supporting the Value Stream Mapping.
Quality, volume, and cost target achievement - on rotational basis with other Production Engineers, responsible for entire assembly quality and volume target achievement.Present information to Management.Coordination of the PDCA`s

Supplementary cell tasks/projects as allocated from time to time by Section Manager.
  • To support Company and Departmental objectives.
  • To support and enforce the team building concept.
  • To support medical surveillance programs by liaison with Medical Station.
  • Checks that safety standards are met and comply with audit standards.
  • Plans, investigates, and optimizes the introduction of new production methods.
  • Tests new consumable materials as well as production materials, and documents results.
  • Support his manager and implement measures to achieve Budget, Headcount and Equipment Productivity targets (as per TCP)
  • Gaining all required knowledge of the plant and equipment to ensure that first-hand information is always available.
  • Optimize and continuously improve equipment and systems to optimize product quality, plant availability and reliability.
  • Needs to sustain specialized skills in assigned technology group and advanced skills in all other technologies.
  • Needs to develop contact to the other BMW manufacturing plants to ensure technology specific synergies are optimally utilized.
  • Adherence Production rules of conduct.


Qualification Requirments
  • NQF Level 7
  • Chemical Engineering degree/Diploma or any other relevant degree
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience
