The Assistant Consultant: Retirement position offers an exciting challenge and career opportunity for someone with a proven background within retirement fund consulting or retirement administration looking to join an established team within a market leading insurance broker.
This is a full-time role and you must be able to attend the office a minimum of 3 days a week including Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.

We will rely on you to:
- Assist the Client Executive in consulting to a portfolio of clients.
- Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are on file for all clients and provide services in line with SLA.
- Together with the Client Executive, develop an annual year plan for each client and ensure adherence to deliverables.
- Prepare agendas for management committee meetings and ensure distribution in line with SLA.
- Attend management committee meetings and other ad hoc meetings together with the Client Executive.
- Draft accurate and complete minutes of meetings for review by the Client Executive and distribute in line with SLA.
- Ensure matters arising from meetings are actioned timeously.
- Assist Client Executive with requesting quotations and drafting reports.
- Ensure timeous response to queries.
- Present at member induction sessions and keep attendance register.
- Attend regular meetings with administrators/service providers.
- Negotiate with insurers/service providers where required.
- Attend regular meetings with team to discuss workflow and problem areas.
- Provide appropriate advice, excellent client service and project management to ensure the smooth running of the client base.
- Assist Client Executive to establish strong relationships with key decision makers, management committee members and service providers.
- Ensure client contact details are accurate.
- Updating of internal systems.
What you need to have:Â
- Experience in a retirement fund consulting/administration role
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (or equivalent) â Outlook, Word and Excel
- RE 05 (Representatives Exam) - Passed
- FAIS compliant
