Job Introduction:

G4S Secure Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated security management solutions, has a vacancy for a Bid & Marketing Coordinator based at our Head Office in Centurion, Gauteng reporting to the National Sales Operations Manager.

 

The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which the Bid & Marketing Coordinator plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

Role Responsibility:

Main Purpose of Position

The incumbent is responsible for providing support to the National Sales Operations Manager in terms of internal and external bidding process and business development. Further to this, the position holder is responsible for the collation of all tender/proposal submissions for bids nationally as directed by the Sales Team and Sales Senior Management.

Key Performance Areas

Prepare and submit national tenders & cost proposals

  • Assist with compilation of national tenders and related tasks.
  • Ensure work is submitted on time and accurately, and priced at margins as directed.
  • Follow up on outstanding tenders.
  • Ensure best practice within all answers to all tender questions, and focus on specific areas that require more complex solutions.
  • Compile and update customer references for specific industries.

Provide effective support and assistance on requested projects

  • Complete tasks within the allotted time frame and provide feedback.
  • Produce accurate work.
  • Provide reliable support-system.
  • Communicate with all relevant parties.
  • Support National Sales Operations Manager with the planning, implementation and evaluation of all events both internal and external.

Business Development Assistance

  • Conducting qualitative business development.
  • Research new/potential clients as per grid supplied.
  • Conduct research projects for booking appointments on Business Development projects as per region.

Lead marketing initiatives and brand awareness

  • Act as a brand ambassador, providing guidelines to both employees and service providers on the use of the brand.
  • Sourcing and procuring signage as and when necessary.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the global brand guidelines and maintenance thereof.
  • Administration of marketing/sales material stock.
  • Distribute stock as required by regions, within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Ensure marketing material requested is costed to the relevant region.
  • Distribution of International magazine and any other required material.
  • Source and procure marketing and branded items.
  • Ensure new items are quoted and signed off in line with the budget.
  • Provide graphic design support for other departments on request.
  • Compiling content for Ads, brochures and other marketing collateral.

Health and Safety

  • Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the branch/region/national safety plans for each year.
  • Participate in safety forums created by the company for example safety meetings and safety talks.
  • Report all safety incidents to the relevant people.
  • Discuss all safety incidents on all levels.
  • Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety. meeting /committee /representative / management.
  • Attend safety education and refresher programmes.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures at workplace.
  • Distribute safety information as and when required.
  • Wear protective clothing all the time.


The Ideal Candidate:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in Tenders, Bid, Marketing &/or Sales Advantageous
  • Minimum 3 years’ tenders and Bids Administration experience
  • Marketing & Graphic design experience essential
  • Experienced in dealing with/communicating with Senior Executives and C-Suite.
  • Knowledge of Sales & Marketing in the Security Industry advantageous
  • Understanding of costing modules
