Job Description

The succesful Talent and Engagement Specialist will be responsible for the following:

Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract high-caliber candidates for various roles within the organization, leveraging diverse sourcing channels and innovative recruitment methods.Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, define job requirements, and conduct effective candidate assessments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, including but not limited to employee recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and diversity and inclusion efforts.Design and deliver learning and development programs to build capabilities, drive performance, and support career progression for employees at all levels.Collaborate with HR and business leaders to identify and address employee retention challenges, implementing targeted interventions and best practices to foster a positive work environment and reduce turnover.Conduct regular assessments of talent management processes and practices, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to talent management and employee engagement, applying insights to continuously optimize our practices and policies.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Talent and Engagement Specialist will fit the following profile:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, CIPD) preferred.Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and talent management within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, preferably within the FMCG industry.Strong understanding of best practices in recruitment, talent development, and employee engagement, with a track record of implementing successful initiatives that drive business results.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to inform decision-making and measure the impact of talent management initiatives.Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to innovate and adapt strategies to meet the evolving needs of the organization and its employees.Passion for promoting a positive workplace culture, supporting employee growth and development, and driving organizational success through talent management excellence.Must reside in Gauteng.
