You will be responsible for:

Assists driver to ensure that collections and deliveries are on time Documentation and administration completed accurately and according to company requirements Assisting with furniture assembly when delivering Ensuring delivery and collection process is followed Assisting driver with daily and on-going vehicle maintenance checks Assisting driver with vehicle tracking and cleaning Assisting with ad-hoc deliveries or duties and/or collections required

The ideal candidate would need to:

Work on a 45-hour contract, 6 days a week Matric certificate At least 2 years’ solid experience as a truck assistant Have basic computer literacy Be able to clearly speak, read and write in English Have good communication skills Be customer service orientated Be professional and team orientated Be good at tracking and achieving daily tasks against planned delivery schedule Follow instructions and escalate when required Handle assignments in a confidential manner (POPI) Handle heavy furniture and assist with assembly when required. Work overtime when required Engage and work with multiple teams to achieve targets Be able to work under pressure Safety of delivery staff, truck, and furniture top of mind Meticulous and tidy
