RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE(BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

Supervise and coordinate activities of the boilermakers, welders, operators, and general workers. Plan operations and scheduling workloads efficiently utilizing assets and minimize cost. Monitor apprentices

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The following trade tested qualifications will be considered: Boilermaker Qualifications with a minimum of 5 years experience Must be qualified with a valid trade test certificate Work experience of at least 10 years in the marine industry Ability and acumen to work independently, read and understand drawings Strong boilermaker background and knowledge of welding procedures Ability to operate machinery, power tools and equipment Knowledge of the materials used in welding jobs and steel structures of a vessel. Knowledge of the materials to use for certain jobs Good knowledge of health and safety Good knowledge of welding procedures Good communication skills between staff and management Attention to detail, good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

A team player with an ability to maintain a positive attitude within the team. A can-do attitude Be proactive and flexible, willing to work long hours Medically fit to work on board fishing vessels Sober habits and punctual Clear criminal record
