RPO's client is seeking a Quality Technician to join their team in the Eastern Cape. The company specializes in manufacturing automotive components, delivering high-quality products for the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will ensure product and process quality standards are maintained and adhered to, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality inspections of products and processes in line with established standards.
  • Analyze and resolve quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation and records, ensuring compliance with industry and company standards.
  • Support the implementation of quality management systems (QMS) and ensure alignment with ISO standards.
  • Collaborate with production teams to monitor and improve product quality.
  • Perform internal audits and assist in external audits as required.
  • Report quality concerns and work closely with engineering and production departments to address and resolve them.
  • Assist in the development and training of team members on quality standards and practices.

Requirements

  • National Diploma in Quality or Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality technician role within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and relevant standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, 8D, SPC).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
