Logistics Manager

Our client within the Renewable Energy sector is currently seeking a Logistics Manager. As the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our company's logistics operations. This includes managing the transportation, distribution, and storage of goods and materials in a manner that meets customer requirements while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency. You will lead a team of logistics professionals and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless coordination throughout the supply chain.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Control of materials on the construction site
2. Handling of customs clearance process for imported goods.
3. Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics operations and achieve company objectives.
4. Oversee the procurement and management of transportation services, including negotiating contracts and rates with carriers and freight forwarders.
5. Manage inventory levels and distribution channels to ensure timely delivery of goods while minimizing excess inventory and storage costs.
6. Lead and mentor a team of logistics coordinators, warehouse supervisors, and other logistics staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
7. Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the supply chain.
8. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
9. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing transportation, storage, and handling of goods.
10. Develop and implement procedures to enhance safety and security in logistics operations.
11. Continuously seek opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement while maintaining high levels of service quality
12. Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, including operational metrics, financial analysis, and strategic recommendations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. 
• Proven experience (5 Years) in logistics management, preferably with logistics experience in large-scale PV(photovoltaic) power plants.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of transportation modes, warehouse management systems, and inventory control processes.
