As an African Futurist, you will play a crucial role in envisioning and shaping the future of Africa and its socio-economic landscape. You will conduct extensive research and analysis, identify emerging trends and technologies, and provide insights and recommendations to guide strategic decision-making.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including researchers, analysts, and industry experts, to develop innovative solutions and strategies that address the challenges and opportunities in Africa's future. This role requires a deep understanding of African cultures, economies, and ecosystems, as well as a forward-thinking mindset and a passion for driving positive change in Africa.


Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis on emerging trends and technologies impacting Africa's future
  • Identify and analyze social, economic, and technological factors that will shape Africa's future
  • Provide insights and recommendations to guide strategic decision-making and planning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in various fields, including technology, economics, and culture
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as African Studies, Economics, or Future Studies
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Deep understanding of African cultures, economies, and ecosystems
  • Ability to think critically and creatively
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Passion for driving positive change in Africa
  • Experience in futures thinking, scenario planning, or related fields is a plus
