Digital Printer Operator (JB4458)

Cape Town, Western Cape

R9000 - R14 000 per month CTC

A dynamic commercial printing company, specializing in both litho and digital printing, that services a niche market with a focus on high quality and quick turnaround times, is seeking an experienced and mechanically minded individual to join our team.

Minimum Requirements:

Matric

Minimum 3 years experience operating a digital and/or large format printer

Proficiency with imposition and RIP Software

Experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro

Duties:

Operate sheet-fed digital color and black & white machines.

Assist with operating large format solvent, latex, and inkjet printers.

Assist with operating UV flatbed printers.

Pre-flight and impose/rip jobs for digital and large format printers.

Adjust color for accuracy and consistency.

Monitor the operations of digital printing machines to detect malfunctions and make necessary adjustments for optimal quality.

Calibrate machines and apply settings for optimal quality and performance.

Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of printing machines.

Coordinate vendor repairs and order parts and consumables.

Order and maintain paper and consumable stock.

Assist with general finishing tasks related to the press and the print process.

Assist walk-in customers with their printing needs.
