RPO Recruitment is currently looking for a Rock Engineer to join our client's team of professionals in the mining industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, approve and revise suitable mining layouts and support according to rock engineering principles
  • Conduct routine quality control testing of support systems
  • Compile and submit legal reports to applicable statutory bodies
  • Investigate and conduct feasibility studies for improvement projects
  • Manage and coordinate accident and incident investigations

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • BEng Honours Degree in Mining Engineering/Geology
  • SANIRE and ECSA registration
  • Minimum of 5 years practical experience in Geology/Rock Mechanics or Mining
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
