What will you do?

As the Head of Corporate Investment Solutions, you will be responsible for leading and managing the development, implementation, and delivery of comprehensive corporate solutions to meet the needs of our institutional clients. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of investment strategies, product development, risk management and client servicing. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive innovation and create value-added solutions for our clients. 

Key responsibilities 

Strategic leadership – develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the Corporate Solutions function, aligning with the overall organisational goals and objectives. Drive business growth by identifying market opportunities, developing innovative solutions, and expanding our client base in targeted market segments.  Product development – lead the design, development, and customization of corporate investment solutions tailored to the unique needs of institutional clients. Collaborate with investment, research and operational teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client requirements.  Client relationship management – build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients and partners, understanding their objectives, challenges, and preferences. Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, providing insights and recommendations to enhance their corporate strategy and financial performance.  Team management – provide leadership and direction to the Corporate Investment Solutions team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Market intelligence – stay abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape within the corporate solutions domain. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities and threats, informing strategic decision-making.  Risk management – assess and mitigate risks associated with corporate solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Develop risk management strategies to safeguard the interests of clients and the organization.  Business development – drive business development efforts to expand the Corporate Solutions functions client base and revenue streams. Identify cross-selling opportunities and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote our solutions effectively. Be a brand ambassador for the business Managing profitability of the business, through the execution of new business and retention strategies.  Thought leadership – establish thought leadership in the corporate solutions domain through participation in industry conferences, seminars, and publications. Share insights, best practices, and market trends with clients, stakeholders, and the broader community.  As a member of the Sanlam Investments Multi-Manager executive committee, provide strategic input to grow the broader business. Managing profitability and revenue of profit centre using various metrics. Fee negotiations. Budgeting.  Brand ambassador.

What will make you successful in this role?

Minimum requirements 

Undergraduate degree, preferably in the finance industry (. , Relevant postgraduate qualification would be advantageous (. Masters, CFA, CFP) At least 10 years’ related experience in institutional asset management and product management  Strong understanding of the institutional investments landscape
