Are you a Payments Analyst in the iGaming industry looking for an exciting new job opportunity?  Our client is looking for a Payments Analyst to join their team in their Johannesburg office. This role is critical in ensuring that players’ deposit and withdrawal experiences are efficient and effective. This requires ongoing reconciliation and reporting to ensure payments comply with regulations and adhere to best industry practices.

This role within the Payments Services Team focuses on managing player deposit and withdrawal processes in collaboration with the Payment Operations Teams. The analyst will oversee daily management of Payment Service Providers (PSPs) in both live and stage environments. Responsibilities include testing, reconciliations, reporting, data analysis, monitoring acceptance rates, and PSP performance.

Your key job responsibilities as the Payments Analyst in Johannesburg will include:

  • Perform daily and ad hoc reconciliations of payment providers and back-office systems, collaborating with Finance and Fraud departments.
  • Design and implement automated reconciliation processes with the BI Team.
  • Prepare and investigate discrepancy and payment incident reports.
  • Test and document various payment methods in both stage and live environments, continuously improving testing processes.
  • Prepare regular PSP performance reports, analyze payment data, and propose updates to PSP onboarding and payment journeys.
  • Monitor and optimize payment success rates, traffic flows, and performance routes.
  • Serve as the main contact for PSP queries and troubleshoot issues.
  • Support the Head of Payments with ad-hoc tasks and assist in researching potential PSPs for onboarding.


Requirements

Requirements for this Payments Analyst job in Johannesburg:

  • Tertiary qualification.
  • Experience in payment processing reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of casino products/systems (preferred).
  • Agile thinker with strong numerical and data skills.
  • Knowledge of online payments processing cycles.
  • Familiarity with various online payment methods and products.
  • Meticulous and able to work accurately under pressure.
  • Understanding of fraud and risk mitigation legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and self-improvement.
