Our client is seeking an experienced EHS Coordinator to join the Silverton, Pretoria team, 

·         Guaranteeing that the Environmental and Health and Safety Management system requirements are established, implemented and updated according to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standard.

·         Proposing and monitoring the environmental, Health and safety objectives, coordinating the necessary activities to achieve them.

·         Managing Environmental, Health and Safety documentation

·         Informing the company manager as well as the EHS manager about the EHS system performance.

·         Carry out the activities which are delegated by the EHS Manager

·         Always assisting and guaranteeing the Health and Safety of all the people in the organization and ensuring compliance.

·         Issuing and keeping registers of the PPE requirements.

·         Maintaining and keeping stock of the First Aid Boxes.

·         Arrange the necessary training and raise awareness within the plant.

·         Ensure risk assessments are up to date and reduce identified hazards.



Requirements

·         Grade 12

·         A minimum of 3 years experience, gained in the manufacturing industry

·         National Diploma in Safety management or at least SAMTRAC

·         OHS Act – knowledge of requirements.

·         Knowledge and experience with safety and environmental management system (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001)

·         High level computer literacy (excel, PowerPoint etc)

·         Valid drivers license and own transport essential,
