The Financial Director plays a critical role in overseeing the financial operations and strategic direction of the organization. This executive position requires a seasoned professional with strong leadership abilities, financial expertise, and strategic vision to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the company.

Preferred experience in FMCG

Degree in Financial Management (or working towards this)

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

    • Developing and implementing financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
    • Conducting financial analysis to assess the company's financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and support decision-making processes.

  2. Financial Reporting and Compliance:

    • Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
    • Overseeing internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate governance principles.

  3. Strategic Financial Management:

    • Providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team and board of directors to support business growth and profitability.
    • Evaluating investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives to maximize shareholder value and achieve long-term financial objectives.

  4. Risk Management:

    • Identifying and assessing financial risks facing the company, such as market volatility, currency fluctuations, and liquidity constraints.
    • Implementing risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimize the impact of adverse events on the company's financial performance and reputation.

  5. Treasury Management:

    • Managing the company's cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimize financial resources and support day-to-day operations.
    • Developing and executing financing strategies, including debt financing, equity issuance, and capital restructuring, to meet the company's funding requirements.

  6. Stakeholder Relations:

    • Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, regulators, and external auditors.
    • Communicating financial performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives to stakeholders in a clear, transparent, and timely manner.

  7. Leadership and Team Management:

    • Leading and developing a high-performing finance team, including finance managers, analysts, and accounting professionals, to support the company's financial objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
