Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer | Point of Sale Manufacturing | La Mercy, KwaZulu-Natal

My client is seeking talented engineers to join their team in La Mercy, KwaZulu-Natal, at the Dube Tradepost.

Key Requirements:

  • BSc Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering

  • Must be willing and able to travel to Dube Tradepost.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work in a team and independently.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Generalist List of Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems for Point of Sale equipment.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product designs meet customer requirements and industry standards.

  • Optimize existing products and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Support the manufacturing process by providing technical expertise and troubleshooting production issues.

  • Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the company.

  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for design and testing activities.

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the engineering team.
