IT Internal Audit Manager

IT Internal Audit Manager responsible for the execution and drafting of dynamic IT internal audit plans. This role requires the candidate to be able to perform the following audit activities: scoping, planning and reporting, and also includes managing a team of IT Audit resources.
The secondary purpose is advising clients in effectively managing risks associated with digital transformation programmes, information and data management, IT governance, business systems risk management, emerging technology management and information security management.
A general understanding of key IT standards (such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO, etc.) is required for this role. Furthermore, an understanding of / interest in emerging technologies and the associated risks would be considered an advantage for this role.
Note: The candidate will also be responsible for providing guidance to junior colleagues on their engagement related goals, performance and career progression in the capacity of Performance Manager as well as other operational roles within the division.
Key responsibilities:
Analysing audit strategy and plans Defining ideal target audit approaches that leverage technology and data analysis Active engagement with internal audit partners, key client contacts and junior team members Team leadership Providing insight to our audit clients about IT in their businesses in presentations and reports Project / engagement management Review and quality assurance of deliverables (including final client deliverables such as reports, memos, etc.) Develop internal and external client relationships Client liaison and problem solving Ability to identify potential business development / sales opportunities Communicating findings to key stakeholders (client and audit), as well as investigating mitigating controls and procedures for control deficiencies Building capabilities and methodologies in the areas of system-based auditing and data analytics Performance management of allocated colleagues Skills and attributes required for the role:
