Purpose of the Job

The purpose of this role is to provide overall financial support and work closely with the business unit head to help formulate and refine the strategy and financial projections for the business. Finacial Services has essential responsibilities that include providing leadership, preparing financial reports, taking part in decision making, and supporting business planning processes. This position will work across functional areas and will collaborate and present clear analyses and recommendations to key stakeholders/executives. The role serves as a key financial business partner to senior leaders for their budgets, helping create an informed decision-enabling environment, effectively communicating financial information, and driving continuous improvement. The role drives corporate financial planning and analysis functions including annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning support, reporting, expense management and developing insightful financial analyses. The role also importantly performs financial modelling to measure and forecast potential impacts of capital investments and potential business development activities.

Job Advert Details Job CategoryFinance Job Objectives Facilitate management in formulating short and long-term objectives, carrying out cost-benefit analysis and ensuring targets are met through periodic reviews.  Support management team and the Heads of Department with data-driven analysis ensuring that management's actions create profitability for the organisation.  Support decision making by providing stakeholders with timely, detailed, and meaningful insights and visibility on business performance.  Monitor and analyse internal financial information/metrics (profit loss accounts, financial statements, working capital, costs, prices, expenses, revenues, rates of return, etc.), providing key actionable insights on trends in key performance indicators and recommendations to senior management to improve profitability, cost efficiency, and operational effectiveness.  Evaluate economic and business trends. Analysis and advice on how to maximise the business unit's financial resources to increase profitability and grow the business unit at an optimal rate, while avoiding putting the business unit at serious financial risk.  Identify opportunities within the enterprise. Present the monthly and quarterly financial reports of various units and departments within Financial Services - manages monthly reporting, quarter forecasting, and Annual Operating Plan for Corporate Expenses and their allocations to Business Units.  Validate all monthly, quarterly, annual, and other ad-hoc analyses to ensure accuracy and timely completion.  Use both quantitative and qualitative analysis of the company to evaluate its progress toward achieving its goals and to map out future goals and plans.  Communicate financial insights, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making and informed business planning. Assist in long-range financial planning processes and drives associated financial modelling.  Create financial models to analyse various business opportunities and cost savings initiatives.  Financial modelling activities involves: Develop financial models, support all analytics efforts to help report and summarise accurate financial information, identify business opportunities, and drive business performance across the business unit/division/enterprise. Develop tools and analysis that help improve business results.  Evaluate and assessing potential investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and implementing risk mitigation strategies to optimise returns and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Manage banking relationships, financial transactions, and credit facilities. Lead and delivering on Digital Finance transformation by identifying areas for technology adoption and streamlining.  Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment and promoting professional growth and development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, sales, and IT, to align financial strategies, drive business growth, and enhance the customer experience within the digital commerce. Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement within Digital Commerce.  Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in related field (Finance, Accounting, Business, CFA, etc.) 

Experience

+8 years of related progressive experience (FP&A, Financial Reporting, Finance Business Partner, 
etc.) with a focus on banking, retail, or digital commerce.
Financial Planning & Analysis Experience - (essential)
Prior experience in a similar role having advised and collaborated with business unit commercialization leads regarding expense management and financial impact of strategic product decisions.
Strong experience working as a business partner in delivering better decision support and enabling strategic initiatives which help to improve the organization's financial performance.
Proven corporate financial analysis skills
Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and structure complex financial projects and processes with various stakeholders
Demonstrated understanding of financial processes and systems.
Fluency with Hyperion and/or SAP preferred

Knowledge and Skills

Natural talent for financial analysis, modelling, and forecasting.
Excellent analytical skills as well as a strong business acumen.
Good problem solver.
Able to make firm decisions.
Need to stay on top of business, industry, and economic trends in addition to honing financial skills and strategies.
Communicate effectively - excellent interpersonal (verbal and written communication) skills - able to communicate financial concepts to non-financial audiences, senior business partners / budget owners. Ability to present to & support senior leadership.
Financial consulting and analysis skills, including ability to assess needs, identify issues, recommend alternatives, and implement change.
Expert level in PowerPoint, Excel, and data manipulation.
