Key Responsibilities:

Beverage Preparation:

  • Prepare or serve hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, and teas.
  • Ensure beverages are prepared in accordance with our standard recipes.

Customer Service:

  • Welcome customers, guide them through our menu, answer their questions, and take orders.
  • Provide a memorable customer experience, ensuring satisfaction through prompt service and a friendly demeanour.

Machine Operation and Maintenance:

  • Operate coffee-making equipment.
  • Perform regular checks and basic maintenance on the coffee machine to ensure it is functioning optimally.
  • Notify the manager of any machine or equipment malfunctions.

Cleanliness and Organization:

  • Keep the bar area tidy, organized, and stocked.
  • Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment regularly.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines.

Cash Handling:

  • Handle cash transactions, if required, and give correct change.
  • Keep track of inventory and notify the manager when stock is low.

Continuous Learning:

  • Stay updated on the latest trends in the coffee industry and adapt techniques accordingly.
  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, or coffee tastings as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Barista or similar role.
  • Familiarity with the coffee brewing equipment.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A passion for coffee and dedication to learning the craft.
