Salary: ZAR25000 - ZAR35000 Per month

Job DescriptionJob Duties:

• Supervise and coordinate all activities in the abattoir during designated shifts
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and industry regulations
• Manage and motivate a team of abattoir workers
• Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met
• Oversee inventory control and stock management
• Report any issues or concerns to the Abattoir Manager

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience working in an abattoir environment
• FSSC22000, HACCP, Meat Classification
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant vocational training or certification in meat processing

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the meat processing industry
• Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role withinin a high throughput abattoir
• Pork abattoir industry advantageous

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Good problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional training in health and safety
• Experience with inventory management software
• Experience with Meat Matrix software advantageous

Working Conditions:

• Shift work not required
• Exposure to fluctuating temperatures and loud machinery
• Physical stamina needed for standing and lifting
