Our client is looking to hire a Mechanic Assistant.  Requirements as follows:

  • Matric
  • At least one year's relevant experience
  • Code 08 drivers licence
  • Must be willing to work shifts and overtime as needed
  • Mechanical knowledge
  • OEM training - Hitachi, CAT, Volvo Komatsu would be advantageous

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist with all repairs on vehicles and TMM's
  • Assist with painting and panel beating
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines and other parts of vehicles
  • Routine maintenance
  • Adjust and align wheels
  • Assist with breakdowns
  • Must have knowledge of technical aspects of heavy vehicles
