Rock Engineer

A well-established mining company in the Northern Cape is seeking a skilled and experienced Rock Engineer to join their team. As a Rock Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing safe and stable underground excavations, conducting stability analyses, and providing technical support to the Rock Engineering team members. Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• BSc degree / BTech in Mining Engineering or Geology
• Chamber of Mines Certificate in Rock Mechanics
• Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in Rock Engineering in the mining industry
• Experience in underground mining operations
• Strong knowledge of rock mechanics principles and ground control practices
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Registered as a Professional Engineer with a relevant professional body
