The IIE Varsity College, Pretoria Campus has a vacancy for Part-Time Lecturer in:

• Criminology, specifically in:
  • South Africa and African Social Justice
  • Crime in Context: Theory & Typologies
  • Youth in Conflict with the Law
  • South Africa and African Social Justice

Competencies Required:

• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent Presentation Skills
• Assertiveness and dynamism
• Understanding of customer service in education
• Demonstrate an ability to manage work and self proactively

• Bachelor of Arts Honours/ Bachelor of Social Science Honours degree in Criminology.

• Postgraduate Diploma, MA/ MPhil, PhD/ DPhil qualification in Criminology.
• NQF 8 qualification in social development, policy, and development.

• ​​Lecturing experience in Criminology.
• Work experience is not as critical for the Criminology module as it is relatively theory based, but lecturers must be able to apply the theory to a relevant work environment.

Working Conditions:

• Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role
• Positions are part-time, with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:00, Monday to Friday
