Summary: We are seeking an experienced and reliable Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver to join our collaborative logistics team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate, regardless of gender, holds both Code 10 and 14 licenses and is committed to ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods. In our team, drivers and crew work cohesively, each taking equal responsibility in the delivery process. Key Responsibilities:

1. Safe Operation of Heavy Vehicles:

   • Operate heavy motor vehicles, including Code 10 and 14, with a focus on safety and compliance with traffic regulations.
   • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the roadworthiness of the vehicle.

2. Cargo Handling:

   • Safely load and unload goods, ensuring securement and proper weight distribution.
   • Collaborate with the crew to ensure equal participation in cargo handling responsibilities.

3. Route Planning and Navigation:

   • Plan and execute efficient transportation routes, utilizing modern navigation tools for optimal journey planning.

4. Documentation Management:

   • Complete accurate documentation for all deliveries, including logbooks, delivery notes, and relevant paperwork.
   • Ensure meticulous compliance with documentation and reporting requirements.

5. Customer Service Excellence:

   • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and maintain professional communication with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.

6. Vehicle Maintenance Oversight:

   • Conduct routine maintenance checks, promptly reporting and addressing any identified issues.
   • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure scheduled servicing and repairs are completed as required.

7. Regulatory Compliance:

   • Stay abreast of and adhere to all relevant transportation regulations.
   • Strictly comply with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Code 10 and 14 driver's licenses.
• Proven experience as a Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver, demonstrating a commitment to safety and professionalism.
• Thorough knowledge of Port Elizabeth and the surrounding areas.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to responsibly handle and transport goods, ensuring their security and integrity.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role, with a focus on heavy vehicle operation.
• Impeccable driving record.
