Payroll Supervisor

- Process assigned payrolls accurately and timeously.
- Verify the optimal integrity of employee information (i.e. personal, financial, job related) by ensuring that necessary corrections are processed on the system.
- Provide support to Human Capital (HC) departments of divisions and to Payroll team to investigate and resolve payroll related queries
- Ensure that tax validations are done and resolved monthly.
- Identify any needs for improvement of processes and procedures and communicate these to relevant stakeholders.
- Control team’s compliance with agreed processes to ensure clean audits.
- Process batch input from Payroll Administrators.
- Ensure all monthly payroll reports, checks and balances are processed.
- Lead and manage the team
- Facilitate team problem solving and decision making
- Review skill set of team, identify training needs with members and facilitate the necessary training
- Resource the team and recruit when required, manage individual performance of team members and apply all relevant Human Capital practices to ensure an engaged and focused team
- Ensure that all Human Capital and Employee Relations related issues in the department are addressed
- Drive Talent Management and succession planning
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Payroll Administration with a minimum of 2 year’s exposure to team leadership/supervisory role
- Experience in managing significant payroll volumes
- Exposure to a manufacturing environment
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources/Finance/Accounting
