SPA MANAGER - 80% Management / 20% Therapies (when operationally required)

WORCESTER -  Breede Valley - Western Cape (ZA)

Starting Date: JULY 2024 / ASAP

TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS:

  • Monday - Sunday 
  • 45 hours per week rotate

Reports to: Director

REMUNERATION & COMPANY BENEFITS:

  • R20,000 - R25,000 Gross Per month
  • 5% Turnover Commission
  • Private room & en-suite in shared amenities apartment available

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Beautifully groomed & professionally presentable
  2. Minimum 2-year Diploma in Health & Skin Care / Somatology
  3. City & Guilds / ITEC / CIDESCO / CIBTAC / SAAHSP

EXPERIENCE:

  1. BONUS - Cruise Ship employment experience
  2. At least 2 years experience in an Assistant Manager OR Manager capacity
  3. Previous employment in a luxury establishment / hotel or cruise ship spa essential

ESSENTIAL SKILLS DESIRED:

  1. Computer literate and confident (ESP experience beneficial)
  2. Able to train employees on spa protocols and follow up on company brand trainings
  3. Able to lead and develop employees and services
  4. Knowledge of spa procedures and ability to perform them where operationally required
  5. Ability to focus attention on guest needs
  6. Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the Spa
  7. Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
  8. Knowledge of and ability to sell spa products
  9. Able to assist with ad-hoc duties in other departments of the property if operationally required by management
  10. Comfortable performing spa & beauty therapies when operationally / ad-hoc required
