Kuruman, South Africa Hire Resolve Full time

Hire Resolve is working with a leading mining company in their search for a talented and experienced Planning Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term mining plans
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
  • Manage and coordinate mining activities to achieve production targets
  • Optimize mine operations by analyzing data and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Prepare and present reports on mine performance and operational challenges
  • Manage the budget for mining operations and control costs
  • Supervise a team of planners and collaborate with other departments
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans and initiatives

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or B Tech - Mining Engineering or similar
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mine planning and operations in the mining industry
  • Strong knowledge of mining software and planning tools
  • Understanding of safety and environmental regulations in mining
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Valid driver's license
