The successful candidate will effectively lead and operate within a dynamic team, handling multiple assignments, deadlines, and competing priorities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide junior staff with clear direction, goals and objectives.
- Establish appropriate standards and foster a positive work environment.
- Offer coaching and training to enhance performance.
- Conduct audit fieldwork.
- Prepare clear, concise and error-free financial statements for companies, close corporations, trusts and individuals.
- Apply technical expertise and analyse data effectively.
- Finalize and propose audit opinions and financial statements.
- Complete timesheets accurately.
- Maintain effective client relationships.
- Manage personal and team time efficiently.
- Monitor progress and performance against deadlines and milestones.
Minimum Education/Qualifications Required:
- Completed SAICA training contract - Audit & Assurance elective.
- CTA completed (preferred).
Skills and Experience Required:
- Knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Pastel.
- Proficient in CaseWare working papers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Capable of working independently and within a team.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Team management abilities.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
