Our client is looking for a Renewable Energy Engineer to join their team in Roodepoort, Gauteng.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for the Tender team, exploring solutions for customer requirements based on the product portfolio.
  • Actively participate in all proposal phases, analyzing customer requests and their technical feasibility.
  • Interface daily with engineering, supply chain, and project management departments for project-specific inputs.
  • Work independently to complete tasks, taking accountability and responsibility in a hybrid work environment.
  • Assist team members with sales support, including developing client proposals and pitch mechanics.
  • Deliver sales presentations to clients, designing and developing presentations.
  • Improve negotiations and contract closing by supporting the Sales Team.
  • Liaise and coordinate with clients, external professionals, and consultants.
  • Articulate technical capabilities of products, attending and/or performing technical demonstrations.
  • Create quotes and sales proposals on behalf of the Sales Team.
  • Partner with the sales team to generate leads.
  • Accompany sales representatives throughout the sales process, from RFI/RFP to contract negotiation and closing.

Requirements

  • B.Eng/BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Electrical Engineering in an industrialized and/or commercial environment, preferably in Renewable Energy.
  • Some pre-sales/sales experience preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of contracts and legal compliance, terms, and conditions.
  • Solar PV or BESS experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Word & MS Excel.
  • Effective communication skills on all levels.
  • Pleasant personality with a "make-it-happen" work ethic.
  • South African Citizenship, Clear Criminal Record, Valid Driver’s License
