Your day at NTT DATA

To provide specialist technical expertise and support in installing; testing; tuning; optimizing; diagnosing problems; repairing; upgrading and maintaining both externally and internally supplied hardware and systems software (i.e. operating systems; data management products; office automation products; embedded systems); and other utility enabling software and related equipment.

What you'll be doing

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

'Installs, tests and maintains new hardware or software to provide new services or to resolve user and system problemsPerforms troubleshooting and system analysis to resolve incidents and to ensure system availabilityPerforms system administration tasks including configuration, systems monitoring, troubleshooting, and supportTests and validates new system to ensure that they fulfil the request functionality and qualityImplements backup and recovery procedures to ensure the needed availabilityImplements and performs system monitoring for proactive support by collecting for example availability, performance metrics and system logsPerforms hardware or software upgrades and patching to support vulnerability and risk managementDefines, raises and executes changes as part of the Change Management ProcessCreates system documentation and maintains fixes, modification or other changesExecutes task as part of the request fulfilmentEscalates and collaborates with vendors or other delivery organisations if needed to provide the right level of supportIdentifies and documents potential problems of the system within the ticket toolIdentifies and suggests possible service improvementsCreates and manages tickets for the Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management and Request FulfilmentDocuments work results, actions taken, steps to resolve, effort and resolution time in the ticketing systemPerforms other tasks as defined, planned, and approved by leadership teamWorks with senior members of the team to get guidance about working procedures and technical possibilities to ensure the highest level of systems availability


Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

Non-negotiable skillset and experience in red hat Linux administration:Between 3-5 years' experience working on Linux.Preferable to have exposure to:ZVM SystemsRed hat LinuxSatelliteVMwareAzureAWSChef

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or related (or equivalent work experience)
Required Experience:Seasoned demonstrated experience in a similar role gained within a similar information technology environment
