SAE Rosebank is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join their team.

The purpose of this role is a committed lecturer in the area of Games development. The post requires competency in every aspect of the qualification’s academic integrity, student support, academic content development, evaluation, moderation, assessment of learning as well as supporting SAE Institute’s vision and mission. 

We would want the individual to have the following qualities:

●       Consistently positive & patient with support to students

●       Possess outstanding communication, interpersonal skills, administration skills, be highly organized and possess good time management skills.



Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

●       Minimum NQF Level 8 qualification (BA Honours) in relevant field

●       Substantial experience in the field of games development and design of a minimum of 2 years preferred.

●       Classroom management and workshop facilitation skills: A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in an academic or training environment preferred.

Essential & Bonus Skills:

●       Must be knowledgeable about game studies and theory

●       Must have a solid grounding in C# programming, C++ would be a bonus

●       Must have solid experience of the Unity gaming engine.

●       Body of work that demonstrates competency in game development and production.

●       Experience in 3D and 2D unity workflows and games asset creation preferred

●       Collaborative and willing to work with fellow lecturers and the HOD to support students

●       Must have rights to live and work in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities :

●       Be able to execute and facilitate the normal day-to-day demands of lecturing, lesson planning, delivery, develop and conduct appropriate practical and theoretical assessments, as well as teaching and learning materials pertinent to modules, administration, student support and review
