Junior Blaster

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a Junior Blaster to join our client in the Mining Industry. As a Junior Blaster, you will play a crucial role in carrying out blasting activities to facilitate mining operations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience and develop their skills in explosive handling, safety practices, and technical blasting procedures within the mining industry.

• Assist in the preparation of blast plans and designs
• Handle explosives and blasting agents in compliance with safety regulations
• Load and connect explosive charges in accordance with blasting procedures
• Monitor weather conditions and ensure safe blasting operations
• Conduct pre-blast inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Implement and follow safe work practices during blasting activities
• Assist in the investigation of blasting incidents and implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate records of blasting activities and materials used
• Collaborate with the mining team to ensure efficient and safe mining operations

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Valid Blasting Certificate
• Code 10 Driver's License
• Opencast mining knowledge
• Computer Literate

Benefits

• Salary: R200K/yr - R400K/yr
