Description of the role 

Multi-Media Designer is a UK focused role based in SA. Reporting into the Creative & Production Manager, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and engaging multimedia content for a variety of platforms. Your role will involve designing and producing graphics, animations, videos, and other multimedia elements to enhance our brand presence and deliver an enhanced client experience.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to develop multimedia content that aligns with our brand guidelines and objectives. Design and produce high-quality graphics, animations, videos, and other multimedia assets for various digital platforms, including websites, social media, presentations, and marketing campaigns. Create visually appealing and user-friendly designs for all and any channel – including websites and mobile applications. Develop and maintain a library of brand compliant multimedia assets, ensuring consistency and reusability across different projects, audiences and georgraphies. Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of multimedia content. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing Managers, developers, and project managers, to ensure the successful execution of multimedia projects. Conduct research and gather relevant information to inform the design process and ensure the accuracy and relevance of multimedia content and associated designs. Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality.

Core Deliverables

Engaging multimedia content that effectively communicates our brand message and enhances user experience. High-quality graphics, animations, videos, and other multimedia assets that meet project requirements and objectives. User-friendly designs and materials for websites and mobile applications that provide an intuitive and visually appealing experience. Consistent and reusable multimedia assets that maintain brand consistency across different platforms and proje cts.

Description of the skill and experience required 

Proven experience as a Multimedia-Oriented Designer or a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your creative and technical skills. Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and multimedia software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar tools. Strong knowledge of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout techniques. Experience in creating and editing videos, animations, and other multimedia content. Familiarity with web design principles and best practices, including responsive design and usability. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts and ideas. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
