Avionics engineer

We are looking for a new member to join our engineering team at Cloudline to design & develop high quality avionics systems. You will join our dynamic startup and be given the responsibility to own the avionics stack. This includes the design & development of the electrical systems, sensors, power electronics, electromechanical actuators and harnesses. We are a fast-paced aerospace company meaning what you build today you can flight test tomorrow.

Requirements

  • Electrical & Electronic Engineering degree
  • Experience in electronic system design ranging from PCBs to harnesses
  • Familiarity with PX4 / Ardupilot electrical systems and the integration thereof
  • Experience in solving EMI and signal integrity problems
  • Proficiency in relevant software and programming languages including embedded systems development
  • Previous experience in integrating RF components
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Other requirements:

  • Based in Cape Town, South Africa, or willing to relocate (no work permit sponsorship available for this role)
  • Ability to travel as required
