RPO Recruitment is currently working with a leading mining company in Mpumalanga who is seeking a skilled and experienced Shaft Engineer to join their team. As a trusted recruitment agency, we aim to match the right candidates with the right opportunities.

As a Shaft Engineer in the mining industry, you will be responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of the shaft infrastructure. You will work closely with the mining team to ensure safe and efficient operations underground. Your expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring the integrity and functionality of the shafts.


Responsibilities
  • Design and plan shaft sinking operations
  • Manage the construction and maintenance of shaft infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Conduct inspections and audits to identify and address potential issues
  • Implement measures to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • GCC Mines & Works
  • 10 years' experience in underground mining operations both Production and Production Services
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Shaft Engineer in the mining industry
  • Proficient in shaft design software and engineering principles
  • Ability to effectively manage projects and resources
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
