Qualifications:

  • NQF Level Matric/Grade 12/National Senior Certificate or equivalent diploma
  • Certification in Financial Planning
  • FAIS qualification
  • Proficient in financial and retirement planning
  • Experienced in finance and investments
  • Skilled in financial advisory with strong analytical abilities
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Capable of working independently and remotely
  • FAIS accredited, or in the process of obtaining full qualifications within three years from DOFA
  • RE 5 (Representative) certified
  • Based in Cape Town, Western Cape

Experience and Skills:

  • 1-5 years of experience in sales, with specific exposure to financial planning
  • Proficient in data analysis, administration systems, and relevant software
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry governance
  • Familiar with business concepts, terms, and risk controls

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients' financial situations by reviewing their income, expenses, insurance coverage, financial goals, tax status, and risk tolerance. This analysis helps create tailored financial plans.
  • Evaluate and recommend financial strategies and solutions designed to align with each client's life plan and financial objectives.
  • Support clients in executing their financial plans and facilitate financial transactions as needed.
  • Regularly review and adjust clients’ portfolios and financial plans to reflect any changes in their circumstances, economic conditions, or specific needs.
  • Stay informed on the latest regulations, industry practices, and financial products to ensure compliance and maintain professional standards.
  • Demonstrate expertise in creating, presenting, and reviewing financial plans for both individuals and legal entities.
  • Stay knowledgeable about approved financial products and services, continuously updating skills and knowledge of industry trends and product developments.
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant industry regulations and bank policies.
  • Develop and maintain a sustainable and profitable financial advisory practice.

Attend business events and meetings to build and strengthen client relationships.
