We are seeking a talented and dedicated Commis Chef to join their esteemed culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for fine dining and a commitment to maintaining the high standards of this renowned estate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Ensure all food is prepared to the estates exacting standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Support the kitchen team in daily operations, including food prep, plating, and stock management.
- Continuously strive to improve culinary skills and knowledge.
Required Experience:
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role in a fine dining environment.
- Strong passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
- Knowledge of modern cooking techniques and a commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Required Competencies:
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.
Location Requirement: Candidates must live close to Stellenbosch or be willing to relocate to the area.
