Hire Resolve's client, a leading company in the Solar & Renewable Energy industry, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Head Electrical Engineer to join their team in Blackheath, Western Cape. As the Head Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical engineering aspects of solar and renewable energy projects, ensuring the successful design, installation, and operation of electrical systems. Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the electrical engineering team, providing guidance and support
  • Develop electrical engineering strategies and goals to support the company's objectives
  • Design and review electrical systems for solar and renewable energy projects
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with other components of the projects
  • Conduct feasibility studies and performance analyses of electrical systems
  • Provide technical expertise and support during project implementation and operation
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in solar and renewable energy technology

Requirements

  • BSc. or BEng. degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Registered member of professional engineering board.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on solar and renewable energy projects
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems design, installation, and operation
  • Experience with relevant software tools and simulation programs
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for solar and renewable energy projects
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for sustainable energy and a commitment to making a positive impact
