Shaft Timberman

Hire Resolve's client, a leading mining company based in Gauteng is currently seeking a Shaft Timberman to join their mining team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of self and team members by applying relevant standards and procedures in all planning and execution of maintenance activities
• Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations and company standards
• Contribute to a culture of safety by adhering to all health, safety, environmental, and security policies and procedures
• Conduct pre-work assessments and participate in safety meetings
• Assist in the maintenance of equipment and perform basic construction work
• Inspect and ensure the safety of the shaft barrel and the hanging side and footwall within each section

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Onsetter Certificate
• Blasting Certificate for Hard Rock Mining
• 5 years' experience in a shaft and construction environment
• Experience in the use of explosives
• Advanced knowledge of the Mine Health & Safety Act
• Medically Fit
