Position: Accountant / Tax Practitioner

Location: Montana - Pretoria

Salary: R18,000 – R20,000 gross per month (negotiable depending on qualifications and experience)

Closing date: Ongoing Position

Responsibilities:

  • Record financial transactions from bank statements.
  • Utilize SAGE accounting software for data entry and financial report drafting.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements for Trusts.
  • Contribute to tax return preparation for deceased individuals and Trusts.
  • Manage SARS correspondence related to estate reporting.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather financial information.
  • Ensure accurate and organized client file documentation.
  • Stay updated on tax regulations for legal compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
  • Ideally pursuing or possessing a relevant professional certification.

Experience and Skills: 

  • Preferred qualifications include 1 to 3 years of prior experience in accounting or tax-related positions.
  • Familiarity with CIPC database and transactions advantageous.
  • Experience with Estate taxes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • High attention to detail in financial record-keeping.
