Main Purpose:

The Data Quality Analyst at Impala Terminals, will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data sets, directly contributing to the success of our operations.
The responsibilities will revolve around maintaining data quality standards and processes, aligning closely with the key requirements provided listed below

Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand data quality requirements and objectives, ensuring adherence to specified standards.

2. Implement and enforce data quality standards, policies, and procedures in alignment with company goals and industry best practices.

3. Conduct thorough data quality checks and audits using tools such as Navitrans and Alfresco, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.

4. Monitor and analyze data quality metrics and KPIs, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

5. Develop and execute strategies to improve data quality, working with cross-functional teams to implement necessary changes.

6.Ensure accurate and timely updating of Navitrans and Alfresco systems by in country teams on a daily basis, reflecting any changes or updates as required.

7. Collaborate with the JHB Data team to ensure seamless integration and sharing of data, particularly regarding truck movements and logistics tracking.

8. Provide support and training to end-users on data quality best practices, tools, and systems.

9. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in data quality management, continuously seeking opportunities for optimization.

10.Design and develop data visualization dashboards to streamline consolidated reporting processes.

Skills and abilities:

This role requires a strong background in data analysis and quality management, as well as exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a keen attention to detail and a passion for driving continuous improvement in data quality practices.

Experience;

- Qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.

- Proven experience as a Data Quality Analyst or similar role.

- Strong understanding of data quality concepts, methodologies, and tools.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.

- Certification in data quality management (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional) is a plus.

- Willingness to travel

Key Relationships and Department Overview:

- Work closely with various departments including commercial, operations, sales, and finance to gather insights and align data quality strategies (standards and processes) with organizational objectives.

- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
