Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled and experienced SHERQ Manager to join a leading company in the sugar production industry. As the SHERQ Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety, health, environment, risk, and quality standards within the organization.

In this role, you will develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems to maintain a safe and healthy working environment. Your expertise will be vital in identifying and mitigating risks, conducting audits, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement in SHERQ practices.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement SHERQ policies, procedures, and systems
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Identify and assess potential risks and hazards
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections
  • Provide training and education on SHERQ practices
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement throughout the organization
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address SHERQ-related issues
  • Manage and maintain SHERQ documentation and records

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management)
  • Proven experience in SHERQ management, preferably in the sugar production industry
  • Strong knowledge of SHERQ regulations and standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities
  • Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
  • Proficiency in SHERQ software and tools
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 9001, ISO 14001)
