Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to join our client's team in Durban.

The individual for this role will spearhead the design and development of software across diverse platforms. Emphasizing teamwork, transparency, and accountability, the successful candidate will uphold these values throughout their work.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement PLC programs based on customer requirements
  • Formulate hardware concept designs prior to implementation
  • Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated automation solutions
  • Oversee commissioning procedures and ensure smooth handover
  • Document and maintain accurate records of PLC programming projects
  • Provide technical support to customers during installation and commissioning
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in PLC programming
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety requirements
  • Follow all instructions provided by the Automation Engineering Manager

Requirements

  • National Diploma and/or N3 in Electrical Engineering will be advantageous
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Automotive and Engineering Industry
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagram
  • Essential experience in PLC programming with Mitsubishi; familiarity with Toyopuc is advantageous
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required
